Information Session - Oakland Teacher Residency

If you’re interested in learning more about getting your teaching credential through the Oakland Teacher Residency Program for the pathways listed below, please fill out this brief Google form to register for an information session. You can attend more than one if you want to review the information at different points in the year. After you fill out this form, you will be added to a calendar invitation(s) with a Zoom link for the dates you registered for. All sessions are on Zoom and are from 3:30-4:30PM, mostly on the first Wednesday of the month. In the Oakland Teacher Residency, you can get your teaching credential (and possibly a Master’s degree) in one or one-and-a-half years in one of the following, and be paid a stipend while you go to school and learn from a Mentor Teacher. Single Subject Math or Science
Special Education Mild-Moderate (Alder Graduate School of Education only)
Spanish Bilingual Multiple Subjects
Single Subjects Social Science or English for BlPOC Educators
Multiple Subjects for Black, male elementary educators (CalStateTEACH only)
