Welcome to I Love My Job, the series where we hear from women who really love their jobs. Today, we sat down with Jamie Williams, Category Manager – Fashion on the E-commerce Operations Team at TikTok.
Williams joined TikTok a little over nine months ago after pivoting from decades of fashion corporate experience. “I’m a gleaming example of someone who you wouldn’t necessarily expect to see in a tech setting,” she shares. “TikTok is a place where people like me, with fashion experience, can thrive.”
She’s certainly thriving in her current position! “I truly find the work that I do to be very exciting, and it’s definitely something that’s revolutionary for the e-commerce space,” Williams tells us. “At TikTok, I work with some of the smartest and brightest people in the industry. Being able to collaborate closely with them on groundbreaking projects within the E-commerce operations division has been a really exciting opportunity.”
Specifically, Williams reveals how she’s helping to grow large projects from the very start in order to revolutionize the social media landscape. “I’m so excited for everyone to see what is coming within this space,” she says.
